In these quiet times…

My site has been a little quiet during the holydays. My head has not, and I’ve been living in a world of thoughts. I’ve not been able to sleep before three in the night a single night since I got home to Notodden. It sucks big time, and I’m exhausted from it. An off-button had been a great thing to have at times. Today is New Years. So I hope you have a happy one. I need to work on mine, I think.

You might remember that I got a free copy of SpamButcher to review. I’ve been using it for a while now, but I don’t think I’m going to post a review. There are two reasons for this. First of all, the new design is almost done, I only have to code a backend. The consumer section is not a part of this design and will probably not be made available in the new verison of www.vegard.net. The second reason is that it software don’t work very well. During the time I’ve been using it, 48 SPAM e-mails got through its filtering. It were able to stop about 60 or something. OK for a free trip, but not for $29.95. Or whatever the price was. Too bad.

That’s about it for tonight, I guess, see you all in 2003.

Busy

I’m a little busy with other things at the moment. Between those things, I’m working on a new and cleaner design. Back soon.

Will work for money

Boxing day is usually one of the better things about going home for Christmas. Lots of people go out to drink and have fun, and it’s usually the one night in the year that you meet people you knew from high school who is also home for Christmas.

But this year it was not meant to be for my part. Me, Kristoffer, Roar, Tomas and Klas warmed up at HÃ¥kon‘s place where we had some drinks and a few laughs. After that we went downtown, where I realized I had no cash with me. Which is usually not a problem. In a civilized town. There are 4 ATMs in downtown Notodden. All of them were out of order. So I had no money. Not a critical problem either, I could always lend money from someone to get in and leave my card in the bar for the drinks. But when I got down to club where everyone was, it was completely crowded and they didn’t let any more people in. And of course, everyone I knew was in there. It’s the place that everyone goes.

So I said “fuck it”.

And went home.

Crap!

Rather meaningless updates lately, eh? As soon as I feel I can update and give you the background, I’ll do so. Tata.

Me, Hallvard and Tor Olav successfully managed to mod Tor Olav’s XBox today. Fighting evil with evil and fire with fire.

No strange heading at all

Is it childish to not like successful people? Well, I just realized I don’t. Sue me. This could have something to do with my mood going completely flatline. For no apparent reason at all. Hail Christmas, everybody. Let’s smile and be full of jolly joy.
