All right. I was supposed to spend this evening with The Girlfriend, but she’s not feeling well tonight, so I’m not sure if that’s going to happen. It’s too bad, really, because I’ve only spent three or four days with her the last three weeks and I was really looking forward to it, but I guess it’s very little I can do about it.

Today I only staid seven or so hours at work, but I was surprisingly effective, doing about two days (twenty to twenty four hours) worth of coding compared to a normal work day. The reason for that is probably that most other people in my business take the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve off, meaning that I don’t have to answer e-mails and telephone calls - the two main reasons I lose the pace in my programming. If you’re a coder, like me, you know how annoying it is to get interrupted all the time by e-mails, phone calls and IM messages. It can really take a while to get your mind back on track.

It looks like I’m hooked on San Andreas (again). I played for an hour or so after work today, and since it looks like I won’t see The Girlfriend tonight, I guess it’s back to the good old Xbox.

I can live with that.
