Just to clarify, The Girlfriend didn’t really buy herself a brand new, real life Audi A3 - her car only exists in Need for Speed Most Wanted - no matter how much she’d like to drive it in real life. Being a student and all, the A3 is somewhat expensive for her budget. But I can see that what I wrote in yesterday’s entry might have been a little bit confusing.
Space Empires IV Deluxe is now available for pre-loading through Steam. If you buy it now, about two weeks before it’s released, you get a 10% discount. Now, 10% of $19.99 isn’t that much, but a discount is a discount. If you can’t wait for the Steam release, you can download and play the game right now from the Strategy First site, but it’ll cost you $24.99. Which isn’t really too bad, either. Me? I’m pre-loading the game on steam as

The site might be unavailable for a short period of time in the next 24 hours. My host is moving the database to a new cluster, and they have to block the site in the process. Not very smooth, but that’s the way it is. I’ve modified the PHP code to try to connect to both the old database server and the new cluster, whichever works, but I from what I understand they actually have to block my site during the move to keep the database in sync.
I hope the process won’t be to much of an impact on your mental health. You can make it an hour or two without this marvelous site, can’t you? I hope so.
