Maybe my life would make a good Anime series?

This is another update that was meant for a Wednesday, but unfortunately pushed to a Thursday simply because I’m limited to the same 24 hour days as you are. 30 hours or something like that would have been nice.

Yesterday I spent almost all day listening to people talking about how great their firm is and how great they are doing, even in these difficult times, blah blah blah. And after I’d listened to them for a while, they told me that they didn’t have any job for me. Very few companies are actually hiring at the moment, and those who are, are naturally looking for the best of the best amongst the graduates. Unfortunately, I’m not one of them, but I think I’m a good runner-up, It looks like I have to send out general job applications to a bunch of firms, just to tell them that I’m available and breathing. I still have high hopes, if I can’t get a job in the IT industry, there is always need for a janitor somewhere. I think I’ll make my resumΓ© available on my site shortly, it might be a shot in the dark, but it’s better than doing nothing.

And if everything else fails, I’ve still got my brilliant contingency plan.

I spent a few hours with Stine yesterday. It’s been four weeks now since we broke up, everything went well, and we had a nice chat. It looks like she’s having a lot more success than me when it comes to getting a job. For the last five weeks, she’s been working at a local hospital as a part of her education. And now she’s actually been offered a job there. There is some shortage of people in her line of work, so you might think that they employ everyone available, but another girl from her class working at the same hospital had not been offered a position, so I guess she is doing a good job. I’m very happy for her, and also proud, in a rather strange way.

If you liked The Matrix and have a thing for Japanese Anime, you’ll love The Animatrix. The Animatrix is an Anime series set in the world of the Matrix, and the first episode was released yesterday. It tries to tell the story of the incidents that led up to the brilliant story line in the original The Matrix motion picture. Or at least that is what I presume it’s trying to. I downloaded the episode and absolutely love it.
