Mostly good news

Good News #1: In my never-ending hunt for a more secure job, I’m through to the second round after my interview on Wednesday. The second round includes a psychology test, an extended personality test, an IQ-test and a two hour interview. This sound pretty much like the stuff I had to go through before I was forced to join the army - Norway has mandatory military service - and I ended up in the infantry a.k.a. as a moving target. So I’m not sure if this is going the right way.

Good News #2: On Thursday, after about three weeks of struggling and hair pulling, I finally managed to get something to work at NRK. We’re working at the bleeding edge of technology (actually quoting someone at RealNetworks on that one), going where few have gone before - none really successfully as far as I know. I’m not sure how much I can tell you about the project, but Norwegians might take advantage of a new service in the not-so-distant-future. When actually depends a little on whether or not I get the job mentioned in Good News #1.

And now for something completely different.

The observant visitor might have noticed that I’ve removed the disclaimer link on the bottom of each page. It’s been replaced with a Statement of Audience taken from the “Why I Fucking Hate Weblogs” essay by Bones. It’s a good read, at least if your a weblog reader or writer or both. Check out the SOA for a link.

Ian was challenging me a few entries ago to post a full nude shot of a woman. I took the challenge, refined it a bit, and posted a picture of myself in the About section. No full nudes. Yet. And relax, it won’t be a picture of me.

Website mixmaster is a tool that mix the layout of one site with the content of another site. Taking my own site and CNN for a spin, I ended up with a lot of strange junk. And this:

George W. Bush, former bass player in Disturbed

Now we know what happened to their bass player.
