Night

Another week is over and another weekend sets in. It will most likely involve some work, but I’ll try to keep it at a minimum. Except for tonight. I’m getting up in the middle of the night to move some of our software to another server. The software is kind of mission critical, so the most sane thing to do is to do it in the middle of the night when the usage is at a minimum. Also, if I manage to screw everything up - which is likely - I’ve got a few hours to clean up the mess before people wake up and start using the service again. We do have clients in other timezones, too, but they’re thankfully not affected by the maintenance work.

Tomorrow we’re having a party in the shared apartment I live in. If you know me but didn’t get the invitation it’s probably because I was in Sweden when sending it out. I suspect that some of the messages got lost somewhere on their way to your phones. Anyway, if you promise to behave, you’re invited. Show up when you feel thirsty.
