Please Leave a Message After the Beep

I’m not feeling well. It’s raining cats and dogs outside. And now I’m going to continue the (frustrating) story of Vegard & TC:

On Wednesday morning I got the first sign of life from her since Sunday. A short SMS message, it was a bit wired, like it was taken out of some other context. So I figured it was sent to me by mistake, but it turned out it wasn’t. Anyway, I sent her an SMS back with a question, but she never answered that one. Later that afternoon I tried to call her, but she didn’t answer. Then I went for a jog, and when I got home, she’d called me. I called her back up (again) and we talked for an hour. It was nice talking to her again. I met her again on Thursday and spent the night at her place. All the time I had the impression that she was enjoying my company, and she gets very cosy (it’s not the right to describe it, but my mind is not tuned to English at the moment, still I guess you understand what I mean), especially when I’m about to leave.

A couple of hours after I left her apartment on Friday, I sent her an SMS message, she never answered that one, then I called her in the evening, she didn’t pick up, I got her answering machine and left a message. I’ve yet to hear anything. Did she zone out again? Was she hit by a bus? Did she move to some remote corner of the world? I’m getting some seriously mixed signals here! Frustration, I loathe Thee!

Reading this, I realize that I sound like a hysterical fourteen-year-old school girl. Some people have suggested that it might be because I’ve fallen in love, or is about to do so. I beg to differ, but I do see the potential. Now, what does TC think of the matter? This is something I think it’s about time to talk to her about, we’ve been dating for about a month now. If she sees the same potential, I’m willing to adapt to her zoning out, if she doesn’t see the same potential, it’s bye-bye. But before I can talk to her, I need to find her. Good luck with that.

When I had my brake for blogging - I feel I’m still having a break, probably slowly returning - I added two features to the site, some of you might have found them already.

I listen to a lot of internet radio stations at work and at home, mostly radio.wazee, and various channels from XRM Radio, Digitally Imported and Soma FM. I used to keep a list of new musical discoveries on my computer so I could check them out later, but since I’m now using separate computers at work and at home, I needed some way of synchronizing these lists. The solution can be found here.

Gunnar Garfors is a guy I worked with when I was with the NRK. He is getting very close to his 30th birthday now, but he is still not a day over 28 mentally and uses every excuse he can find to consume some alcohol: His thrown all kinds of parties to celebrate things; a door-party, a refrigerator-party and a alcohol-party just to mention a few. Among his more imaginative ideas was the 10 000-day party that he held to celebrate that he’d made it through ten thousand days of life. To spread that marvelous idea around the world, I hereby bring you the 10 000-days calculator. Cheers!
