Rewrite

The Coldplay album turned out to be very good indeed, almost as good as Parachutes, perhaps. I’ve been listening to it a lot at work today and it’s just getting better and better.

Nothing worth mentioning happened today. I spent a couple of hours at work like I always do, got home, had dinner, went for a run in the park, had a shower and now I’m here writing this entry. What could be a tad interesting from a nerdy point of view is that my copy of PHP 5 Power Programming arrived today. I plan to rewrite the entire site in PHP5, making it a lot smoother to extend, enhance and maintain and everything will be object orientated, of course. We coders love objects, so I need to learn a little bit about how objects behave in PHP5. It was a total nightmare in PHP4, at least compared to Java, which is the language I know best, so I never bothered to go for the OOP model when implementing my CMS in PHP4.

We coders also love acronyms.

I’ll soon head downtown to meet Hallvard. Norway is celebrating the hundred year anniversary of its independence from Sweden and because of that some bands are setting up a free concert. On a Tuesday. Excellent planning. I probably wont stay long because I didn’t fall asleep until half past one last night and I’m yawning already. I should go to bed now, I guess, but what the hell. I live on the wild side. For those of you who wondered, I did send an SMS to this girl last night, but she never replied to it. Not that I’m very surprised. The last month has been somewhat eventful when it comes to the opposite sex and at takes a lot to surprise me these days.
