Ring-a-ding-ding-ding

We’ve got an old computer in our living room. I never use it, since I’ve got my own computer with a wireless connection and all, but some of the people I live with use the computer to access the Internet. Lately, it’s become a tad unstable, probably filling up with virus, spyware, worms and whatnot. Dumb as I am, I took it upon me to fix it, which basically meant reinstalling Windows. Unfortunately, there are some old hardware in the box that causes Windows XP to freeze during installation. Both Home and Professional edition. I guess that’s not a big surprise, but I had to try. I also tried Windows ME - I actually had a copy laying around - but that didn’t help much. Right now I’m testing if Windows 2000 can handle the challenge. Does anyone have a copy of Windows 95 or Windows 98 laying around?

In the last few days I’ve received a couple of unexpected phone calls. One from someone I talked to at a party a while back, now she’s is coming to visit me with a friend in about two week’s time, and one from Sara, who I haven’t seen for over a year. I’m probably seeing her on Saturday. I suck at taking care of old friends, so it’s a good thing people like Sara makes the first move.

I have to start getting better at taking care of old friends. And new ones.
