The Emperor has got some new clothes for you

Tata. The new design and backend has passed the 90% mark and is ready to see the world. Let’s hope the world is ready for it.

A lot of changes has been done. Much of the stuff previously found on www.vegard.net is gone. Google had just started indexing the consumer section, bringing in visitors, but now it’s gone. Too bad. The free textads, the mood-o-meter and the weather box. They’re all gone. But the stuff you really liked are still here: The guestbook formerly known as talkback, the webcam and all the good pictures. The site is much cleaner. New with this version is that it’s all XHTML 1.1 and CSS2, which makes it incompatible with older browsers, but I don’t care much about that. Get a new browser, there’s a reason why new versions are released.

Because of the new structure, the looks of the site can be changed rather easily. So far, only three themes are available, but as I get the hang of CSS2, more will be made available.

Things to do: Comments to the blog entries, comments and ratings in the pictures section and some general tweaking. I have not even tried to validate any of the code, have to do that, too.

So, watcha all think?

Other things have been happening, but I have to go to bed now.

Caution

It looks like you're using Google's Chrome browser, which records everything you do on the internet. Personally identifiable and sensitive information about you is then sold to the highest bidder, making you a part of surveillance capitalism.
