Well, hi there!

Long time, no see, eh? Well, that’s what happens when your landlord forgets to pay the Internet bill. No money for your ISP means no Internet connection for you. Or for us in this case. The connection was cut on Thursday and we got it back again yesterday evening. The plan was to update yesterday, but I was to tired to even think about it.

Quite a few things have happened in the last few days, not much exciting in my life, though, but a few things on some less personal levels.

First of all, I finally handed in my project report on Friday. A great feeling. I’m not sure how pleased I was with the end result, and I could have needed a day or two extra, but in academic circles, a deadline is a deadline. Hopefully, I’ll soon have a job in the computer industry, where deadlines are made to be pushed.

In some very exciting Internet radio news, I have to mention that it looks like the all time classic SomaFM is in the process of getting their streams back online. Check out their site for more details and some of the highest quality streams around. Also, a new version of the Opera Beta 1 is available. If you have the previous Beta installed, I recommend that you download and install the new one instead, since it addresses the security issues in the first Beta

I have also left Trillian in favor of Miranda for a number of reasons. It can be configured an a million ways, I’m a sucker for plugins, it’s got ICQ, MSN, Yahoo! and Jabber (yay) support and everyone likes Open Source, right? Miranda is also updated with nightly builds. I can now be contacted via all these IM protocols, click here for more information.

A few things have happened on this site, too. I have done a cosmetic changes to the page displaying all textads so that the advertisers can see how many impressions their ad has left before it’s removed from the rotation. I have also re-coded the consumer section to enable it be indexed by search engine bots.

That’s about it. I’m back at reading for end term exams, and now I’m off to read another chapter about Japan before Stine shows up at around ten.
