All right, Matthew Good’s “In a Coma” finally arrived today. An excellent album - but what else is there to expect from a Best Of compilation from one of the greatest artists to ever have set his foot on this Earth? I’m not surprised. My deluxe edition comes with three discs, two CDs and one DVD. The first CD contains three previously unreleased songs and fourteen classics. The second CD contains nice acoustic versions of Matthew Good (Band) hits, the complete “Loser Anthems” EP and the complete “Lo Fi B-Sides” EP. The acoustic versions are great, but the real gem in this collection is the DVD with seventeen Matthew Good (Band) videos.

Some great stuff indeed.

This evening I installed WordPress to have a look at the code and the data structure to see if it’s possible to migrate from my own CMS to WordPress. With a few batch jobs and a little bit of plugin writing and hopefully no poking around in the base code (the code I saw was virtually uncommented), I’ll be able to get everything up and running in not-so-long. It supports Markdown, the theme feature is nice, so is the fact that WordPress handles timezones correctly, something I was never able to do in my own code. Timezones are not my best friends, they have never been and probably never will be.

So far my WordPress install is pretty basic.
