wp-days-ago v2.6.1

The plugin has been update to version 3.0.0.

Every now and then issues pop up in the wp-days-ago support forum. I’m not able to solve them all, but sometimes I make changes to the plugin to accommodate whatever need the users have. The most recent change is the possibility to fall back to displaying the actual date and time a post or page was published and not the relative time, e.g. “12 days ago”.

Changelog from 2.5.2 to 2.6.1:

  • New feature: Support for falling back to showing the date and time a post or page is published instead of “X days ago” and similar a configured number of seconds after the post or page is published. The feature is turned off by default, so if you are upgrading from a previous version of wp-days-ago, there is no need for you to change anything unless you want to use this new feature.
  • Change: When calculating days, the plugin will now ignore the publishing time and only use the actual date.
  • Change: When calculating years, the plugin will now take into account leap years.

Both changes should lead to a more accurate output from the plugin.

If you already have wp-days-ago installed you will be notified about an update when you log into the WordPress administration console. If you don’t have it installed you can download it from the WordPress plugin repository or from the WordPress plugin manager.
